The village of Lintrathen is situated 6 miles north west of Kiriremuir, at the foot of the Angus Glens, with Strathmore to the south.Situated close to the boundary of Angus and Perthshire, the property enjoys the outdoor pursuits both counties have to offer. Private schooling is available at Dundee High School.Despite its situation at the foot of the hills, the Old Corn Mill is not remote. The A90 is easily reached and links Aberdeen with Dundee. The nearby A926 joins the A93 at Blairgowrie, which in turn links to Perth. At Perth it connects with the M90 to Edinburgh and the A9 west to Stirling and Glasgow. There are mainline railway stations at Perth and Dundee, the latter also providing a small airport with direct flights to London City.

DESCRIPTION:
The Old Corn Mill is an attractive stone built house with a slate roof. Originally a working mill, it has a date stone of 1860. Many of the original features remain, including some of the mill workings, set behind glass in the dining room. The house is set over three floors and faces east over the Melgam Water.The property was converted in 1990, originally into two dwellings, comprising one upper floor cottage with the mid and lower floors beneath forming another. The two dwellings were linked in 2002. At that time Velux windows were installed to increase light into the house.The accommodation is comfortable and adaptable, with a good proportion of bathrooms to bedrooms and fine reception rooms which are ideal for entertaining. The western elevation is one storey, whilst the eastern side, overlooking the river is three storeys.

DIRECTIONS:
If coming from the north or the south on the A90 (Dundee to Aberdeen dual carriageway) turn off at the Kirriemuir junction (A926) at the Forfar bypass and proceed to Kirriemuir. From Kirriemuir take the B951 to Kirkton of Kingoldrum. Pass through Kirkton of Kingoldrum and proceed for a further 3.1 miles and turn left, signposted Lintrathen. On entering Bridgend of Lintrathen proceed over the bridge and the property is the second house on the left opposite the phone box.Alternatively, from Blairgowrie take the A926 towards Alyth and Kirriemuir. At the roundabout in Alyth, turn onto the B954 (signposted Glen Isla) and continue on this road, crossing the River Isla at Bridge of Craigisla (Reekie Linn). About 0.5 miles after crossing the bridge continue straight on at the T junction, passing round the south of Lintrathen Loch. Proceed into Bridgend of Lintrathen, passing Lochside Lodge on the right. The property is on the right opposite the phone box.
